Sharing my hobby: Guitar performance videos!
One of my hobbies is playing the guitar. Recently, I've been posting performance videos on YouTube.
I sing and play various English songs. Since I love The Beatles, there are many Beatles songs in the channel. This video is "Blackbird" by The Beatles.
I also write about various Beatles songs on my blog. In this project, I write about 100 Beatles songs, and here I write about 100 solo songs by the members. Please take a look if you are interested.
I also wrote an original song about peace regarding my hometown Nagasaki, "Nagasaki - Eighty Years Have Passed". The lyrics are in English, but I also translated them into the Nagasaki dialect.

My Story
- Born in 1993 in Shinkamigoto Town, Nagasaki Prefecture. Currently living in Nagasaki City.
- Struggled to fit in at school from a young age; diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the 5th grade.
- Experienced school refusal during high school, then transferred to a correspondence high school and graduated.
- Motivated by the loneliness I felt while studying for exams, I decided to actively build relationships in university.
- Entered the Faculty of Economics at Nagasaki University in 2013. Met many people but struggled to deepen relationships.
- Utilizing my language skills during university, I experienced an exchange program in Venice, Italy for about a year.
- After returning, I received lecture requests from the university and started speaking about my experiences as a person with ASD.
- After graduating, I continued my speaking and writing activities while searching for my own path.
- During that time, I handled accounting for an NPO and gained business experience.
- In 2019, I published my first book, "I am a University Student with Developmental Differences" (Seiwa Shoten).
- In 2020, I started studying programming, deepened my knowledge of IT, and opened this official website as part of that effort.
- In 2023, I started a blog, began working seriously as a writer, and also write information useful for learning English.
- In 2024, I launched the YouTube channel "Ryuichi Yamada's Reading Channel". I broadcast audio readings of various Japanese and English texts in my own voice.
- In 2025, utilizing Generative AI like "ChatGPT", I am diligently creating various games, apps, and websites. (I look forward to your work requests!)

Public Speaking
I give lectures about my own experiences as a person with ASD. My main audience includes parents, educators, medical professionals, and students.
I have spoken over 10 times, mainly at schools, businesses, and local governments in Nagasaki Prefecture. I have also been interviewed by TV and newspapers, and I feel this is a field drawing much attention.
I accept requests not only from within Nagasaki but from all over the country. Please see my speaking record here.
Writing
Like my speaking activities, I also write about my experiences with ASD. In addition to publishing one book, I have experience contributing to magazines.
I can also handle various genres such as languages, programming which I am currently working on, and Generative AI. Please feel free to contact me for English translation as well.
I accept a wide range of requests from paper books and magazines to online articles. Please see my blog for writing samples.
Web Design
I accept requests for creating websites and homepages. I create using languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. I also handle responsive design (websites for smartphones) as well as for PCs.
Regarding design, I can work with both designs provided by you or propose designs myself. Please consult with me.

Languages
I am interested in languages. I created this English version of my website by myself!

I also run a YouTube channel helpful for learning English.
I am working on learning Korean recently influenced by dramas, in addition to English and Italian (where I studied abroad). I am also interested in various other foreign languages.
Accounting
I became interested in accounting after taking a bookkeeping class at university.
I have about a year and a half of practical accounting experience at an NPO and hold a Nissho Bookkeeping 2nd Grade certification.
Education
I am also interested in education. Based on my own experience of school refusal, I am thinking about what I can do for children who are suffering in the same way.
I would be happy if I could provide a place for learning through cram schools or private tutoring, centering on such children.
I hope to learn together with the children.
Ukulele
I love music. Even in my school life which wasn't very fun, I enjoyed music classes.
I used to only listen, but I rarely played. However, entering 2020, I started playing the ukulele and enjoy singing and playing my favorite songs as a hobby.

Guitar
I started playing guitar in 2024. I am currently captivated by the acoustic guitar.
I am still a beginner, so I will devote myself to it.
Recently, I have been uploading videos of me singing and playing guitar to my YouTube channel "Ryu Guitar".

I also like composing and arranging using software called GarageBand.

I can edit your videos using the video editing skills I cultivated through my YouTube activities.
Challenges I Face
I have listed "What I can do" above, but on the other hand, there are many things I cannot do well.
For example, matters related to socializing and human relationships, such as getting along well with people or adapting to various people.
I have a desire to interact with people. However, I struggle because I don't know how to do it well.
I want to build fulfilling relationships, but I just can't do it well.
Because I am not good at socializing, despite having the various skills listed above, there is a reality that the work I can do is significantly limited because I cannot utilize them well.
Ideally, I am looking for someone like a business partner who can handle sales and attracting customers while understanding my traits, complementing me who is good at steadily creating various things alone but bad at sales... But the world is not sweet enough to easily meet such a convenient person.

Book: "I am a University Student with Developmental Differences" (Seiwa Shoten)
This is an autobiographical novel where I, as a person with ASD, found my strengths and weaknesses during my university days and gained confidence. It is based on a lecture actually given at Nagasaki University in February 2017. I wrote it hoping it would be helpful for those who are suffering in the same way and the people around them.
At the end of the book, my test results are included with commentary by Dr. Akira Imamura, a professor at Nagasaki University and psychiatrist who takes care of me. Through this test, you can understand how intense my ups and downs are.

I built this website you are currently viewing from scratch by learning HTML, CSS, etc. Of course, there are parts where I referred to other websites, but I searched and researched the parts I didn't understand myself, and I thought about the design and created it myself.
