Brief history

Struggled in childhood

When I was a child, I had troubles in school life, so I wondered why I couldn't do the some things as students around. However, thanks to my teacher at the 5th grade, who understood students like me, I was able to be diagnosed with autism(Asperger's). My mom got relieved because of my diagnosis.

Two high schools

As growing up, I got more troubles in school. In my first high school, I wasn't able to communicate well with students around, so I felt lonely and I couldn't go to school. Therefore, I transferred to my second high school (correspondence). In this high school, there were a lot of students who had troubles like me and kind teachers. I felt tolerance of diversity and less stressed than my first high school.

Decided to be open-minded in university

After the graduation of high school, I studied one more year for university exams. I studied alone, so I felt so lonely. Because of the loneliness, I decided to be open-minded to build personal relationships. Thanks to this, I was able to meet a lot of people, but I couldn't be friends with them because of my lack of communication skills.

Studied in Venice, Italy for one year

Because I've learned English since I was a child, I'm good at English. I got opportunity to study in Venice, Italy for one year because I developed my strength. I learned business in English there, but I also learned Italian to communicate with local people. My experiences in Venice is unforgetable because I was able to communicate with not only Italian people, but also people from countries around the world!

Asked by university to talk about my experience with autism

After coming back to Japan, I was worried about what to do in the future. I’m extremely clumsy and not good at communication, so what I can do for jobs is obviously limited. I told university about my problem, and I was asked to talk about my personal experience with autism. I accepted this offer because I don't have so many problems to talk in public such as lectures. In February, 2017, I delivered a lecture about my personal history with autism in front of more than 100 people.

Looking for what to do after graduation

I graduated from univerity, but I wasn't able to find jobs. I continued to deliver lectures thanks to offers of local organizations in Nagasaki such as schools and local authority. With this activity, I deeply thought about what I can do in the future. From 2018, I worked part-time for a non-profit as an accountant. They understood my personality with autism. I couldn't understand accounting well only with lessons in university, but I was able to understood accounting little by little there.

Published my first book about my history with autism

In parallel with my lectures, I started writing. In 2019, I was able to publish my first book about my personal life with autism. Prof Akira IMAMURA, who studies people with developmental disorders such as autism and ADHD in Nagasaki University Hospital, contributed to this book for expertise description. He has been always very kind and helpful to me since I got troubles in high school.

Decided to study coding and programming in 2020

In 2020, I still had troubles that I couldn't get a regular job. I felt isolated from society and tended to stay home. I was not independent financially. I was looking for what I can do for the future and I became sure that I should start to study coding and programming. I thought I can be good at programming because I've liked to use computers since I was a child. I created this website by myself with my own code.

Why did I start coding and programming?

I misunderstood that coding and programming are difficult high technology and I needed to go to school. However, I heard lots of experienced people and I was able to know that some people began to study coding and programming by themselves after growing up and can make a living. They say coding and programming are not so difficult if we learn continuously. There are a lot of learning materials online now, so I can enjoy studying steady at home with my own pace.

My future

I'll continue to study coding and programming. There are various experienced people. Some people belong to a company, some people work as a freelance and others get various ways to work with programming such as education. What will I do in the future? It depends on who I'll meet. I'm not good at communication, but I never hate it. I value personal relationships. I hope I'll meet nice people and I can make good contributions to this society.

My feeling about continuing to learn coding and programming

I'm still continuing to learn coding and programming. In programming, there are a lot of things to understand, so it takes so long time to master this. After opening this website, for example, I'm learning about server, artificial intelligence, and apps for web and smartphones. Now I'm also interested in math because it's helpful for computer science. In these fields of programming, I want to get a job with the most interesting field for me.

What I'm doing now

Now I'm learning how to develop apps for smartphones. I'm learning Flutter, a framework for developing apps for both Android and iPhone. I'm good at solo work. On the other hand, I'm super poor at group work. That's why I chose developing apps because I can develop apps mainly by myself. In the future, I want to develop apps for people like me who have troubles of living in this society. I move forward to contribute to society with my characteristics.
